When I took FM, I remembered the spreads by just drawing the graph. From that I would back track to remember what calls/puts I sold/bought to get that graph. Not the most time efficient way, but it worked for me. Do what works for you though. If you are crunched for time, try getting down the main spreads (strangle, straddle, bear, bull, butterfly) and not worry about some of the most obscure ones.

If you know the logic behind the spreads you can just draw it out and figure it out, but I would also recommend memorizing the general picture of them. Flashcards really helped me for those

thanks everyone for the advice it's much appreciated! I was wondering how similar the 6 ASM exams are to the actual exams and if the exams have similar distribution of topics as the actual exam fm. Also, can I get by with just the ASM manual and no other books or pe's? Thanks!

I passed FM with only ASM Manual in a cram session of a month and a half over winter break while in February. Definitely possible to pass FM with only the manual, but it depends how well you are doing and how much time you have. I only got a 6 so I really squeaked one out with only the ASM manual. From what I remember I wasn't getting really great scores on the ASM tests either. A little below the pass mark or right around it the last week before the test. I also had a class that was devoted to introducing a good amount of the FM syllabus about a year before that, so it really comes down to your confidence. If you are crushing ASM exams then you are probably fine, as they tend to be harder than the real exam from what I know.

I remember there were about 4-5 questions on Duration Hedging / Immunization. That is alot more questions in comparison to the time spent on the subject in the ASM Manual. Make sure you can do the ASM problems for that section very very well and if you come across any in the Practice Exams make sure you can do those as well.

Good luck!
