So basically it's free for 1 year, and then afterward they want to charge a recurring fee annually? Any clue what that fee is (those sites are blocked for me at work)?
It sounds like:
1.) They put out Splashtop HD 1
2.) They released Splashtop HD 2

For iOS users, if they bought Splashtop HD 1, they got free upgrade to 2
For Android users, if they bought Splashtop HD 1, they got 1 year free.

It seems like for Android users, only connecting through the internet will cost money after a year. Connecting through LAN is free. For a wi-fi only tablet like the Nexus 7, that's a pretty good deal!

I still dislike the sleep button location on nexus. I will go to turn up the volume and end up turning off the tablet.

Ah, LAN is free. That is better, but I wouldn't really use it much on LAN because then I would just use my mouse and keyboard.

I use Teamviewer. Far superior product, IMO. It is free for personal use.

FYI, I just got my first case for the tablet. I got the Supcase on amazon. It was $15 shipped. Comes in 8 colors to choose from and it's leather. The cut outs look good, the tablet is held sturdy. You can also fold it into a stand (although it's only landscape view). There are even magnets so it has the automatic sleep wake function like the ipad has. I'm happy with this.

If any of you guys haven't used it, I highly recommend Wifi Explorer Pro (there is a free version to test out) for 99 cents. Any time your computer and tablet (or phone) are on the same wifi network, you can browse the contents of your sd card (or cards) from your browser. Super easy to set up and no more USB cables or removing the cards.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ileExplorerPRO

It is one of my most used apps.

I never posted here, but this is the one I got.

I like cases that don't completely cover the bezel, so it was kinda exactly what I wanted.
