Default what masters program to apply for?

Hello everyone,

I am Lebanese and i am really interested in actuarial science
I just finished my second college year in finance and at the same time, i am self studying for the actuarial exams and i have just passed the FM.I expect to finish all the preliminary exams this year.

I have a couple of months to apply for a masters program in the states.
I need any advice on what program to apply to in general.

I read some threads here which generally did not recommend graduates to do a masters in actuarial science, if they can pass the exams alone.

what masters degree would combine between finance and actuarial science that would say to the employer(if i returned to Lebanon, since actuarial science is not much acknowledged) that yes , i can give this guy a high position in finance.

Thank you all

Thank you for your reply
I am considering masters in finance, masters in quantitative finance, or masters in financial engineering.

But honestly, i have to research every one of them because i don't have any idea about them except that they are the most popular masters degree.

i am trying to picture how employers see those degrees.Masters in financial engineering would limit me to specific positions
Masters in finance is much more general which would be seen equivalent to the CFA designation by the employers.

I dont know exactly, but this is my own humble opinion

He's only saying that so that you will get enraged, and then try really really hard, and then actually get in. Right?...right?

Because a lot of people have 3.9 GPAs. They're a dime a dozen.

A couple of things that would help:
-Be the child/grandchild of an alumnus
-Be really, really rich
-Have connections to powerful people

hhaha its funny too that also in the states your individual capabilities wont get you what you deserve to get unless you have some "other" help.!

so i dont get it.. they will send me a rejection note telling me that you are rejected because you have a 3.9 gpa not a 4.0 or you joined 2 social clubs instead of 5..

so what colleges do you recommend that dont require being the child of an alumnus!

This.

Apply anywhere you want. Excluding the application fees, you really don't have anything to lose, right?
