I doubt the PAK is inaccurate to the tune of 7 questions.

I got 30 on the PAK last sitting and definitely did not pass. I'd say you're borderline.

Here are 4 questions I missed according to the PAK that had less than 40% majority for the answer:

11 (my answer and popular answer both had 35%)
22 (popular answer 29%, mine 19%)
31 (popular answer 39%, mine 16%)
34 (popular answer 39%, mine 32%)

So if I even just got 11 and 34 right, and the key was wrong on those two, then I'm up to 32, which is possible, right? Or should I start studying for the CAS VEE Econ test now?

If you have 35 or more I would say you should be comfortable, under that you're borderline...don't forget the key can be wrong the other way as well (i.e. you thought you had one right and you got it wrong).

Agreed with Wannabe. I'm at 34 and I consider myself borderline.

I wish we knew what #11 was...

The problem with this exam (and subsequent PAK) was the bundle of questions that had to do with how many of the statements were true - I'd almost count on more people getting those wrong than right. We've got a bunch of questions (like #22) that all of the choices have almost the same probability of being right.

That was for last november's exam

the may exam was a lot harder, and therefore, in order to still be sure, you should have more questions correct

FYI there's a fun lil discussion re if the PAK is illegal and against SOA rules of saving your answers. It's in the general exams section.

Yeah, that's why one of the moderators always comes and mentions they want no part of the PAK on here...

I didn't take my answers out, so I'm all good this time.
