This talk is getting me interested in picking it up again although I'm still confused by the whole endgame. I understand that it turns into a grindfest for gear but I could never figure out how to get started. I should probably just google an endgame primer and see if the terminology even makes sense at this point.

My phases are:
1. Get to 70
2. Get the free set
3. Grind bounties for mats and early legendaries (in this particular season, I stacked 50 TX caches for Avarice so now I have mats up the ass)
3.1. Start extracting all the legendarys into the cube that I can
4. Start rifting for stones then grifting for levels/items
5. Once you have all the items you need, start fine tuning via rerolls
6. Grift for gem levels
7. Season Journey

For me, playing the game on a non-seasonal character isn't super fun, but the idea of seasons is that everyone starts from scratch again and kind of races to end-game content (which IMO is just high level greater rifts and achievements). I try to get the end season achievements for the portraits and see how high I can get in GR before the season ends.

This actually helps. I definitely did #1, but then skipped to #3 without knowing why I was doing it but was at least focused on #3.1. Did #4 a couple times but couldn't tell if the effort was worth it over just spending more time on #3.

At this point it's almost like I need someone smarter than me to just look at my character and tell me where to pick up, heh.

Do you have a 6/6 set yet? If not, go back to 2.

To clarify, this is only possible if you created a new character recently when season 14 started. If not, your character cannot participate in the season journey.

However, you can easily catch up by creating a new seasonal character and having one of us power level you to 70 in a matter of minutes, then you can pick up on #2 no problem. Sure, you won't have the same items as your other character, but for the first few weeks you change out and acquire new gear so fast it doesn't even matter.

Played for like 40 minutes total yesterday but was pleased to know I can solo GR60 (=T13) now with ease Still missing a couple of items for my barb but are both for survivability, so damage-wise I'm good.

I finally got my 50 T10 caches for Avarice... but when I started opening them I found out that it was collecting the gold automatically. I didn't have a pet out or anything, so idk if it was a change that was made. Guess I'll have to do it the normal way later, but I used a bunch of mats for kanai's cube and got my items (low-ish rolls, but all the effects I need). Pretty much breezing through all the GR's I tried yesterday, up to 72 before running out of keys. Unlocked primals, so I'm happy lol.

Now gonna work on season journey to get the extra stash tab.

Did you walk when in the process of opening them? I unequipped my pet and opened it right in front of the chest such that I didn't have to move when opening the chest. It never collected any gold for me since I didn't move yet.

No, I stood right at the chest, but as soon as I clicked the chests the money started adding up, no moving involved, no pet equipped. Can followers now pick up gold? Or DH companions? Hmm
