Also this is covered in lesson B42 on slide 4. Immediately following the proof of the UDD formula.

Anyone in here done FAP yet?

I'm trying to get a realistic idea of how long it will take. I know people can fly through it; I won't be doing that. Trying to figure out how it fits in/around PA.

I haven't started but I'm thinking about doing it. I've heard from coworkers and reddit that the modules are kind of a waste of time. I created a Trial Account that provides me access to Module 1. The reading in the links provided in the slides are so long and boring, I don't think I'm gonna bother reading them, although they may or may not be needed for the actual EOM excerises.

I started earlier this week and I agree with Seasplash. The readings themselves seem more "interesting" than "necessary". One of the frustrations I have so far is that articles and readings they mention seem at least 15-20 years outdated. Perhaps that's one of the reasons the FAP modules are changing next year.

That said, EOM 1 is only loosely related to the material in the first module. It's more common sense stuff and how to approach a work project rather than specific topics you need to know

Only the IA and FA are hard, but the module exercises are a joke. I find the modules pretty silly because 90% of the slides are irrelevant to the End of Module (EOM) exercise. However, do note that the IA refers back to the slides for Modules 1-5. I skipped all the slides, went straight to the exercises, and passed them all in one shot. The books are definitely needed for the IA and Module 4 (the ERM book), but they can be helpful here and there for the exercises. They're very doable in 6 months.

Thanks for the thoughts on FAP...I think I'm going to wait for it to change over. Not sure I can pull it off quick enough. I want to wait to find out how I did on LTAM first.

PA in December I guess.

I'm gonna give it a shot. Maybe I can get them both done!

This is currently my very optimistic view as well. I am just about to submit EOM2 and so far I think the modules have been fairly straightforward

SOA said the exam is tentatively set to be released tomorrow, but they stressed that it may end up being early next week.

Was hoping it's tomorrow! Glad to know I should bake in some disappointment into my expectations
