Default Vegas Trip Report (long)

Got in from Vegas a few hours ago. Once again, had an absolute blast!!

Friday
Got into Vegas about 3. Went to the Orleans, where we were staying just for that night. Got some dinner at the new TGI Friday's in the hotel. It was on the way to the poker room, so it was in a good location. We played a little 2/4 before their nightly $60 tourney started. Played decently, but just didn't get any real hands to play. Fought back after the break and got up to roughly 5k in chips after a couple doubles. Got shortstacked, went in with JJ preflop, guy who had me covered by a bunch called me with K9c, rivered a K, so that was the end of me. My buddy was still in the tourney, so I decided to go to Spearmint Rhino. Stayed there a couple hours, drank, got some lapdances, and went back to the hotel.

Saturday
The club who I won the trip from was putting us up at The Sahara, so we checked out of the Orleans and went there. I am so glad I wasn't paying for this, because I would have never stayed there. Anyway, got there around 1 or so, checked in, and hopped on the monorail down to MGM Grand. We had tickets to the UFC event at Mandalay Bay Saturday night, so we went there, walked around a little, and went to the event. Afterwards, we ate at Burger Bar in Mandalay Place, and went back to the hotel and got some sleep after a long day.

Sunday
Woke up around 8 or so, and went down to MGM Grand to play some poker before I went to the Super Bowl Party at the strip club. Sat down a 2/4 table because I knew I wasn't going to play very long. Played till about 11, ended up about even for that session, and headed back to the hotel to get ready for the party!! Got a couple calls arranging the limo to pick me up to bring me to the party. Got picked up in a black SUV limo. Driver was really cool, gave me his business card for future use when I'm in Vegas. Can get me into clubs for no charge and won't charge me for the limo, just asks for a tip. Anyway, got to the club, and sat in my buddy's booth who does promo work for the club. They had both sides of the club packed, a majority of them being Bears fans. Had some decent food, wings, hot dogs, pizza, rigatoni, hoagies, etc. They were raffling off 2 authentic throwback Bears and Colts jerseys, which were being worn by 4 of the dancers. Raffle tickets were 3 for $5, so I bought $15 worth of tickets. Your first two drinks were included in the cover(which I didn't have to pay), which was $25, so I went through those 2 rather quickly, beers were $3 a bottle, so lost count on how many I had. They weren't doing stage shows or lapdances in the two main rooms, but if you wanted a lapdance, you were taken back to the VIP room, but only charged regular price. I went for two seperate sessions with this hottie named Alia. Let's just say I pretty much funded her losing Bears bet that she made. I would up winning one of the jerseys, a Manning authentic throwback. The catch was you had to go up on stage and take the jerseys off the dancers. I was in heaven!! Then for winning the football pool, during halftime they did a shower show upstairs, and I got to be the guy who handed the towels to the dancers after their show. They took some pictures of that, and will be getting them soon. Went back downstairs and watched the rest of the game. I met the owner of the club, and was told whether or not I win the pool next year, they are bringing me back out, to hand the prizes to the winner next year if it isn't me. After the game got a double dance from these two hotties working together. They figured since I was drunk they could rip me off by charging me for 4 songs each when they only did 2 songs total. I may have been drunk, but I know the difference between 2 and 4 songs. Left the club in the same limo and was taken back to the hotel. Met up with my friend for the Sahara buffet, waste of money IMO. Played some blackjack, ended up $30 I think from that. Guy next to me had no clue how to play. Stole some of my cards when he hit when he should have stayed, so that cost me a few more bucks. After that I passed out in the room.

Monday
Woke up around 5:30 for our 8:20 flight. Got to the airport, Burger King cashier ***** pissed me off. I ordered 2 meal deals for my buddy and me, upgraded mine to a large coke, but also got orange juice to take my medication. She handed me one cup. I told her I ordered 2 meals deals. She thought I was upgrading to the orange juice, and told me I would have to buy the other soda seperate. I gave her a look and walked away. Then we board first on the Southwest flight back to Philly, and were held up for around 20-30 minutes because of idiots who don't know how to set a damn alarm clock and get to the airport in time to go through security. Then getting back to Philly we were put in a holding pattern because we were late getting back because of the idiots previously mentioned. Got my bags and my buddy's brother picked us up on his way home from work.

Overall had a great time, but will never ever fly Southwest again!!

Man, now that I know how to use smiley faces, why can't I find a "we're not worthy" bowing down smiley face?

Great report bro.

What was wrong with Southwest, besides being delayed because of some other idiot passengers.

Nothing else but that. If they were late coming in from a connecting flight, I can understand that, but don't let the other passengers who were in time to go through security have to wait like that. If they were stupid enough to get up late and rush to the airport, then make them wait for another flight.

That was awesome!! Mandalay Bay Events Center was built for boxing and events like this. It seats 12,000, and even though were second row from the top, it's so compact in there you still aren't too far away. Great action, and some sick hits.

How did you arrange this. I'm going to need a limo or two next time I'm out there.

The last limo we took, the guy claimed he was the only stocked limo in his fleet and with the nice tip we gave him, he gave me his card, which I plan on using, but just curious about other options.

Sounds like a fun trip, wish I was anywhere but here.

It was arranged through the club. I got the guy's card at home in my luggage somewhere. When I get home I'll dig for it.
