Question Any actuarial plumbers out there - got a water pressure issue

In my house, everything has perfect water pressure with the exception of this one sink. The hot water comes out at full force, but the cold water comes out at about 30% the rate of the hot water.

I have the valves that feed the water to the sink turned all the way on, but it's still a trickle. Anyone encounter this before and know how to fix it?

The significance is that some killjoy complained to the mods, and they dumped it here so the respectable people wouldn't have to deal with seeing its blight in the land of milk and honey known as Surveys.

"No, Moslems don't believe Jesus was the messiah.

Think of it like a movie. The Torah is the first one, and the New Testament is the sequel. Then the Qu'ran comes out, and it retcons the last one like it never happened. There's still Jesus, but he's not the main character anymore, and the messiah hasn't shown up yet.

Jews like the first movie but ignored the sequels, Christians think you need to watch the first two, but the third movie doesn't count, Moslems think the third one was the best, and Mormons liked the second one so much they started writing fanfiction that doesn't fit with ANY of the series canon."

huh huh huh. I saw that one on SNL the other week. I was truly rolling on the floor laughing.

SNL sure has been getting better lately. They've been in a slump for a while, imo.

I have the same issue with a bathtub in a second bathroom that never gets used - except I only get a small trickle of cold water.

I haven't done anything about it...yet.

I just installed a new faucet for my parents and my father complained that the cold water did not have as much pressure as it used to. First I checked to make sure the valve was fully opened (it was) so then I followed all the hoses until I found the kink.

I hope this helps.

Plumbing is a pretty simple system. If it is only the cold on one sink I'd start at the shut off for the sink. I'd take the connection off at the cold shut off for the sink and see if you have pressure at that point. If not and the pipe goes into the floor/wall you might want to call a plumber.

So now you know its in the sink fixture you just have to track it down. I had this problem once with a tub once and it turned out to be a tiny rock against the cold valve inside the pipe. I figured it got in the system when they were working on the main up the street earlier in the week.

Vague, but I hope it helps.

I agree. They've had a run of some pretty good hosts (except last week). Also, the new cast members (Sudeikis, Samburg, Hader, and Wiig) are all great. I think the only weak link right now is Seth Meyers, who I used to like. He just doesn't seem to be fitting in on the news. They don't really have a lead anchor type anymore. Amy was a good second to Tina. Maybe Bill Hader would do a good job. He reminds me of Dan Akroyd sometimes.

Just to stay on topic, I have no idea how to fix your sink. Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a plumber!!

Dude, I have the EXACT same problem. Except it's the opposite as in it's the cold water that;'s fine and the hot that's a mere shadow of the cold. So it's not EXACT but it's pretty close.

So what do i do?
