Okay, I gasped a few times last night. Did anyone know RD Jr. was going to appear??? Where did he come from? I was hoping he was back, but then it turned out to be one of her hallucinations. So, she can't go out with Bon Jovi, instead? What is she waiting for? Prince Charming wouldn't be as sweet as Victor. Is he for real? Can any man be that understanding?

And now we have to wait a whole month to find out. Is anyone going to try the new show about the girl in the American Embassy in Britain. Or do I now have an hour free on Monday nights. (At least I still have Now and Again on Mondays for a while.)

I'm leaning towards the extra hour on Monday nights, but I may check out this new show...probably won't last. Too much hype to be any good (of course, I could be wrong!).

I had no idea RD Jr was going to be on, even for that fleeting minute or so. Weird. I don't know if I want her and Bon Jovi to hook up. I definitely don't understand the whole kid thing. Talk about your "jump the shark" moment!

I bet they taped it last year and just spliced it in somehow. With modern technology you can do anything. Did he get furloughed (sp?) to do the quick take?

This show has definitely "jumped the shark", elmo.

If she would seriously get hooked up with someone, the whole point of the show is lost. I like the woman (man?) with the purple hair, though. Glad they brought her back.

I was thinking the same thing about Larry's appearance. Who knows?

As for Claire Otoms...love her! When she went in to talk to the judge, I was ROFL!
I believe that actually is a biological male playing her, tho she's credited as "Dame Edna Everage"

"That would be lovely!" I love 'her' too!

Also, I think the kid is excellent in the scenes where she and Ally argue.

p.s. Do you think JBJovi has ever had a cup of coffee in his life? (yes--I'm raggin' on him because I wish I could be that calm in life).

I am glad we stopped watching this in my house. (2 years ago I think?)

Does anyone care to take a stab at explaining the daughter to me?

Flora, since you asked...

apparently, while in college or something, Ally donated some eggs for fertility research. The deal was, she was supposed to be informed if the eggs were ever used. She wasn't told, but the eggs were used. The girl's father just died (they don't talk about a mother, maybe it was a surrogate thing?), and the girl came looking for Ally. The girl had been living with an aunt, a nightclub singer. Ally and the aunt decided that the girl should stay with her for a while, so the aunt could get her career off the ground.

For some reason, I can't think of the girl's name.

Same here. Loved it when it first came out though. Since ya'll have been talking about it, I did actually watch it last night and have no real interest to watch again.

The aunt is Jane Sibbett. She got her start in "Herman's Head" in the early days of Fox. She also played Carol, Ross' ex-wife on Friends as a long-term recurring. She pops up now and again in small roles on established series. Don't know if she has a film career to speak of.
