Default help me get some zZZZZZZZ

i usually have no trouble falling asleep. but with work, studying, obnoxious neighbors, and nerves i haven't had a good night's sleep since SATURDAY. i have that headache, the one that you get from not sleeping enough. and now i can't fall asleep. i don't know how i'll get through tomorrow's exam without some sleep. any suggestions? vodka? antihistamine? i figure drug induced sleep is better than what i am getting right now.

Take a long walk, play sports, work out, etc. Do something that makes you physically really tired tonight. You'll have no problem falling asleep.

If it's not enough, try a bath (maybe with some relaxing music). If you can, swimming is the best !

Get some hot milk.

And try not thinking about tomorrow. Anyway, if there is something you don't know, you won't know it for tomorrow. The rest you already know it, so there is nothing more you can do for tonight.

Good luck !

The natural methods are better (warm milk, warm bath, exercise, etc.), but if you've tried that and its not working for you, then take Nyquil. You will go out like a light. You may however, be in a fog the following morning, so Friday night might be the time to take it.

Don't study right up until bedtime. Give yourself a break to relax. If you watch TV, pick a rerun, something you won't get engrossed in.

I wouldn't exercise before bed, that wakes me up. But some in during the day, makes for a good study break.

As for artificial methods I like Tylenol PM. It basically contains 1/2 dose of antihistimine. Full dose antihystimine knocks me for a loop and makes it to wake up the next morning. If I take 1 PM (if I have a headache I will take a regular Tylenol to get the full pain relief), and I wake up much easier.

Good luck

and in all honesty, sexual relief helps as well.

Try some hypnotic techniques. Start at the toes, and feel them relax. then the calves. Completely relax the calf muscles. etc. All the way up to the chest, then the jaw and facial muscles. I'd expect there are websites that would provide specifics, but this works for me everytime.
