Default Metallica's "Black Album"

The self-titled one always divides a crowd. With the benefit of hindsight, whaddaya think?

Look at that snake and turn it into a shark, then imagine Lars surfing over it.

I admit to never having listened to a Metallica album...other than Lars, though, nothing about them bothers me.

Re-Load was their first turd. St. Anger was the runs.

It's pretty decent actually, in hindsight. When I was a teen I thought it was sellout garbage, but now I think it has some appeal. The band has gone from being my fav when I was 11-12 to probably being like number 75 on my list now though. And since they are such a joke...I probably just wouldn't include them on any fav band list anyway.

It is my pre-Exam music actually. Of course now I can't ever listen to it without thinking of the Exams, which is sad.

Their early stuff is the best. Load/Reload is OK. St. Anger is horrible.

Ditto what Ailing Factuary said. I bought it at the time, and sold it back within a week. Now I think it's ok, but my tastes have evolved since I was 13... but everything since then is utter crap IMHO.
