Default 2 $100 SnGs Hands for discussion

Back to back hands.

Table read: TEPop is an 8-tbler, good player with some loose calling standards from the BB late position shoves. Everyone else average, not too tight (willing to shove) but not too loose (haven't seen any crazy shove/calls)..

1st hand...

As you'll see from the very next hand, I folded the hand above, but should I have? If not, anything less than all in?

Have you stole recently? If not I'd push the KJc. I push the ATc too. There are 5 left and you are short. You still have enough chips to make it a tough call for the other players. I think you have FE and a decent shot of winning the hand if called.

BTW, a lot of players call from the BB with Ax where x<T when a shorty moves AI. This adds a lot of value to your AT hand.

i push with both. you are first to get the $ in, you have <10 BB. however, you would likely be called with the ATo if you pushed with the KJ in the hand right before.

given that you folded the KJ, DEFINTELY push with AT.

First of all, you are no where near short. 1670 with 100/200 blinds.

I push with KJs. If you steal here, it brings you up to 1970.

Now you are UTG with ATs. You are also pushing across the whole table. I raise this to 3x. If I steal, great. If I get pushed out, I fold. Maybe i'll get to see a flop. I don't like pushing ATs across 4 other players, b/c when i get called, I'm probably a dog and a huge one at that. I've made my steal for this round and I'm not gonna risk all my chips that far out of postition for 300 in chips.

I'd push with the first, and the second depends on how often i've pushed before.

This is where the strategy of talking smack earlier helps. Berate someone for calling with A(rag) early in the tourney... then you can 3x at this late stage.

Maybe it's just the way I've been playing lately, but when I pick up a hand like ATs right after stealing, I love to push again. I look like a short stack bully and the range of hands that can call me widens quite a bit, perhaps even to Ax or a PP.
