Patrick tried to suggest to Irvin that he shouldn't go there, but Irvin was having none of it, continuing:


"If great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandma pulled one of them studs up out of the barn, 'Come on in here for a second,' you know, and they go out and work in the yard. You know, back in the day."
This deserves to be discussed.

Michael Irvin better be glad that he is black because he wouldn't have a job otherwise. I'm fine with the double standard that allows him to apologize for that but I just wanted to note he would have been given his walking papers toot sweet.

who was the white guy who said blacks were better athletes because they were breed to be? I remember seeing the quote but can't place it.

Meanwhile Dusty Baker said black athletes can handle the heat better than white athletes are something like that and kept his job.
