Default School Courses not VEE Credit

I looked on the list on the SOA's site for the material that should be covered on a course to receive VEE finance credit. I took corporate finance and investments in school, and they cover all the material for the finance section, yet they are not approved courses. Has anyone here appealed for getting a course approved, because it was not on the list for approved credit? What should I do?

I think this should have the necessary information as to what your next step is: http://www.beanactuary.org/college/vee.cfm under "Approval of Courses/Experiences".

Like you, I had taken both a corporate finance and investments class in college and attempted to obtain course approval by providing copies of syllabi, coursebook descriptions of prerequisite classes, etc. After 10 weeks, I received a terse response from the SOA via e-mail stating that the courses, in tandem, currently do not meet the VEE requirements. Approval is not guaranteed, but it's certainly worth a shot.

I might as well try it, but you had to wait 2 and a half months and all they gave you was a simple no? No reason why? Blah.

Not to sound rude, but what kind of reason would you want them to give you? A list of topics that was missing from your courses that they want you to know? I imagine a lot of people would complain if they had a list out that they wanted you to know, let's say 30 items, and someone's class only covered 28 or 29 of them and got rejected for that.
