FROM THE CEO: CAS TO BEGIN TRANSITION TO COMPUTER-BASED TESTING IN THE FALL
Quote:
Beginning this fall, the CASís multiple-choice exams, MAS-I and MAS-II, will be delivered via computer-based testing. Constructed response exams, beginning with Exam 6-Canada, will start transitioning in the spring of 2021, with a goal to offer all CAS exams via computer-based testing by the end of 2022.
Called it.

I'll believe in CBT upper levels when I see it.

The CAS has advertised they are putting together a new "roadmap" for exams, including possibly some sort of capstone project. That roadmap is supposed to be a five-year transition, IIRC. I would not be surprised if that roadmap changes things dramatically relative to where we are today. Meaning, by the time Exam 9 gets flipped to a CBT, the exam as we know it won't last long after that point.

That's all speculation. Given the uncertainty around exams, I just want to get through this one before they change things up again.

That part doesn't make sense to me. I also worry that the 8-9 weeks will be more like 10-11 given MAS I/II are so late...

I can't imagine they will release them the same time. Probably will have different release times.
