If the Nexus Player had this kind of functionality built into it, I might actually be interested in a Nexus Player. But I'm not that into Amazon services.

I'm not sure if the time is now, but sometime in the next 10 years I expect something like this to be completely mainstream. Our main connection to the internet isn't forever going to be black slabs of glass we carry in our pockets.

That's really sweet. Not sure that I would use it, but it's still pretty cool.

So what happens if you named your kid, Alexa?

Or that is your wife's name?

Who knew this thing was so sexual. Not sure I want it in the house with the wife and kids.

Does Apple have anything like this behind the curtain? It feels like Apple is falling further and further behind Google and Amazon.

Try saying "Alexa, pleasure me!" What's the worst thing that could happen?

The Echo is the NSA's dream. They'll be able listen to your home conversations even when you're not using the phone.

Agree. How have they not done more since they launched the apple TV streamer? Seems like Sonos should have been their bag as well.
