Nothing better than a GI tract. Always ends well, too!

OP. Akward move.

I'm curious if anything knows more about this book? The sample chapters look decent.

I'm getting it and will write up a review soon after it arrives.

OP: if you are Roy or Mike, it's better to just outright advertise your wares. I've done it before, as have other people.

FWIW, I read an early draft of their book, but I haven't looked at their final version. Yes, you can find most of the advice in this book around the AO..... scattered about in a disorganized way.

More to the point, what I found useful in the draft I read was the emphasis on effective studying in an efficient manner.

Some of the advice you find on the AO will help you pass the exams, but some of the advice you'll find here is overkill. The point of the book is strategies to effectively build toward passing the exams without wasting extra time. There were a few items that were new to me, and the stuff that was already familiar to me are approaches I take in items outside of the exams even now.

So yes, the marketing is a little hokey in terms of this (and the other) thread, but the testimonials on the page sound on target to what I had read.

It's actually good marketing. Many more people will know about the book due to an awkward/weird thread which will lead to more sales. It's earned media.

Many authors of Exam study guides post advertising their product. It's far better knowing who's making the plug.

Glad to hear this . . . makes me feel better about spending a bit of my own money to review the material. FWIW, most of my graduate work was in the area of educational psychology (mathematics focus), so I'll be interested in seeing what scientific support they actually present.

I disagree. What's going to help the author(s) is testimonials from people the AO know and trust.

Well, at least know.

While awkward/weird press might get it some attention, this isn't politics (or even political). People care about what they're spending their money on.
