Do you know how rescheduling works? I was really excited to go to this SOA event since I live relatively near San Antonio. I also had an excuse to miss a day of work for free :/

Rescheduling of what? I don't think this conference will be rescheduled. It's just not happening this year.

I'm there now. Right now it's very tame, barely sprinkling and actually cool and enjoyable. The news forecasts use a lot of dangerous-sounding-but-ultimately-benign language like "could be" devastating flooding and "potentially" 10 inches of rain.

I suspect this will be damaging to the coast but amount to nothing more than a garden variety storm in San Antonio.

Has there been, at any point, more than just a sprinkle?

Evidently, my flight to SAT was canceled, though, so even if the weather there is fine now, I wouldn't have been able to get into the area.

Not yet really. It's a light rain now and a bit windy but nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm hearing it might get rougher in the next few days though.

My flight to SAT made it, so I would have gotten there. My coworker who is there tried to get home and couldn't. She's hoping for a flight out tomorrow.

How does the refund process work? I want my $25 back.

It was extremely rainy and windy here in Austin especially on Saturday. My power went out multiple times during the weekend. It's all dried up today though. Work got delayed by 2 hours.

Are they attempting a Val-Act lite?

Some people were undoubtedly counting on Val Act to meet their required "organized" hours of CPD. I'm thinking some sort of online opportunity.
