Default Reinsurance Pricing - Axis Re (NYC)

My company, Axis reinsurance, is looking to hire a reinsurance pricing analyst. Preference will be given to actuaries with reinsurance pricing experience, and if not applicable general pricing experience. The position would be in midtown Manhattan and salaries are competitive.

Job Description:

• Extract relevant data from reinsurance submissions
• Perform pricing analysis on individual treaties using AXIS tool suite
• Explain analysis results to peers and underwriters
• Help develop new pricing approaches and tools
• Monitor trends in price and rate
• Other duties as assigned

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
• Typically requires at least 3-7 years of actuarial experience
• Incumbent typically can demonstrate active pursuit of ACAS/FCAS designation

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Access, VBA).
• Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team player
• This position’s working relationships entail frequent interaction with all departments of the company. This person should be a team player and be able to work with a diverse group of personalities.
