District 9 ****

Flawless but didn't live up to the hype for me - I mean, I enjoyed it but didn't find it compelling. Need another viewing to confirm my rating, but for now I will go with 4 stars.

Yeah, this one was playing at the art house. Helen Mirren is great. She never phones it in. Geez, Helen Mirren could have beaten Bullock as well as Streep.

I really don't get the Academy and the Bullock thing, but I guess I have beaten this issue enough.
