I tried it out for a free week trial. My girlfriend doesn't have cable at her apartment, and thought it would be nice for her to have youtube TV. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with the smart TV she has nor is it compatible with her xbox one. It seems like it's only good on a computer/laptop. Although I think I heard it might be expanding and will be able to be used on more devices in the future. I might buy a subscription if it's available on more devices.

As far as content goes, it's pretty solid for what they give you. I suggest looking up all the available channels and see if the ones you like are on them. I believe it's about $35 for the basic package, and you can add more options (I think showtime is one of the options) for more money.

Also, I think it has a pretty high memory for DVR storage.

Presumably it's already on your list, but if not, PS Vue is also worth a look. Similar service, slightly different pricing/channels/devices.

I'm on the $45/month plan and generally happy with it, although it also used to only be $35!

I've tried it and really like it. Just have to check shows and movies to record every week or so.

It's available on XB1, just released last month. But it has to be separately downloaded; it's not in an automatic update of the regular YouTube.

we've got shitty att internet service, meaning speed varies from super slow to amazingly fast. has caused streaming problems with netflix, so not sure i want to rely on YT TV or not. google fiber is supposed to be coming to my area, but it's been crickets for a year now at least. only other internet option i have is charter/spectrum, which i hear is even worse that the att service we now have

Game changer, might have to check it out again.

One thing I didn't realize, it's separate from YouTube. As in, it's a different website altogether. So I guess it makes sense it's a separate app.
