Now that I think about it, the only nicknames I see are the ones for my pokes, so maybe not.

They don't, which is why I ask.

I got into a bit of a friendly argument with a fellow raider about something similar. He had gotten a 98% Sableye from a raid, and I said, "But if you're not going to use stardust on it - because why would you use stardust on a Sableye? - then what's the point?" He replied, "Well, I can show it off by putting it in gyms!" But I was left wondering, who other than you is going to know that a 742CP Sableye (during the few minutes that it's fully motivated) is lvl20 98%IV?

Obviously, a perfect powered up to 30 (1118 CP) or 40 (1305 CP) might be cool to someone, I guess, but I'd rather put all that dust into something useful.

Incidentally, I need sun stones. I have several really good, boosted Sunkerns, along with a bunch of candy, and for some reason I'm keen to have a bunch of 1800+ Sunfloras.

Not to "brag about them in gyms" or anything, I just like them for some silly reason. Maybe because of the rarity of sun stones? Apparently I'm not entirely immune to the effects of artificial scarcity.

When it comes down to it, none of this really matters anyway, no matter which Pokemon we are talking about.

my 100iv wynaut is powered up to level 40 (CP503). she's ready to kick some pokemon ass!!!

i had to be real careful to click the power up button instead of the evolve one and to stop once she was at level 40 and the power up button was gone. i could totally see clicking the wrong button and evolving her into a commoner accidentally.
