So for the rocks - the rules say each team gets 5 rocks irrespective of the number of the number of team members. Since there are 13 players (if I counted correctly) does that mean some player's rocks are not going to count? Will we know which ones don't count?

All player's rocks will count, but the prize max out at 5 points.

So, IS have a higher chance of winning that big prize, on average.

But we'd have to throw rocks some 476.37 times to get to that average on average.

The IS also have more chances to be the closest rock if all our rocks are used. Which seems completely legit.
