Default League of Legends

Anyone play? A friend got me into it, and it's fun, though I'm still definitely a newb.

Master Yi is fun (read: easy) to play if on a good team.

Its fun, but I tend to stick more to the AI matches.

I've been playing as Lux lately.

QMO and I play a few nights/week. We're not bad.

I suck at Yi unless I am on a great team.

Blitzcrank is great for making the enemies careful.

Volibear is my favorite tank, my bil does much better with Rammus.

Vayne is my favorite overall.

I love the game.

I have 4 nephews, a brother, and a brother-in-law who sometimes play and get on the Skype on Fridays. It's a party. It's more fun than team chat by far.

If you can learn Lux, you will be very valuable in PvP servers. A good Lux makes a great game. A great Lux paired with a good player will crush the whole game.

For a while during the summer I think I was becoming addicted. I had to force myself to take a week off.

LoL is the single most absorbing game I've ever played. Every element of it is enthralling. Also free, also fun. I've played a bunch of Annie, Tristana, jungle Fiddle, Kogmaw, Heimer, Janna...It's nice to be able to switch roles whenever you get sick of one.

The big problem is the douchebags. Someone on the losing team will grief the player that appears to be doing the worst. They've implemented some neat algorithms to cut it down, but it's still pretty common, at every skill level. Though not a problem if you play with friends.

(currently not playing, though I'm sure it'll call to me soon...)

Jungle fiddle? I'm impressed.

I think the jerk-level isn't bad at all, but maybe it's because I'm used to DotA original. It was awful and not worth playing.

Also I usually play with at least one person I know IRL and that seems to help.

I used to be decent with many different champions, but as I level up, I can only compete effectively with the ones I'm more used to. I think it's a mixture of my getting used to combos/capabilities, and the other higher-level players are also more specialized.

Holy yes to this. And oftentimes, they pick the wrong person to grief. It's not my fault I had to suicide to save a turret in a desperate 3v1 because you went and got yourself ganked, lol.

I find at my level (level 8-12 players), you run into a lot of stupid single-lane pushing in the mid-game while allowing the other 2 lanes to get too far advanced. My last game (which, incidentally, we won 4 v 5 when a teammate left after a death at level 4), I got yelled at a couple times for clearing the lanes (and getting enough gold to upgrade an item in the bargain).

I hit lvl 30 recently, have only played a couple ranked...

In the end game, you don't want to push two lanes. Though yeah you do want to keep farming, and pick up buffs, and especially take out dragon in between pushes... But then at your level there's a good chance your team will just engage without you and then you're screwed.

I liked Annie most when I was around your level. With the aoe nuke/stun she was a good team player, but could also survive/kill/carry without any help. Also despite being 'easy' she has a lot of interesting strategic decisions to make.
