256GB seems low now for the softwares out there. Having your solid state drive on your Macbook Air sectored for the new Windows, for example, will take up 50% of that. MS Office will take up lots space as well. For someones like me, I also like some games on it -- that'd quickly exhausting some large chunks of space.

I just feel 512GB is a new minimum standard.

My main criticism to Apple is their pricing. MBA inspired a whole new market of ultrabooks. When you buy MBA, make sure checking out ultrabooks.

You mean like vmware fusion? Why do you do that? To run MS-access? I found mysql with sequel pro to be good; not as good as MS-Access but close.

512GB is far from min standard for SSDs...

I'd say 128GB is probably the standard, with (too-expensive) upgrade to 256GB.

I have a 128GB MBA with a 20GB Win 7 partition, Office 2011, several Blizzard games (Diablo, WoW - not tiny games), and some movies/music. I'm not swimming in free space, but I'm certainly not in a crunch, either.
