applecare, squaretrade with accidental drops coverage, or just standard warranty coverage?

mrs yoyo and i will be schlepping around europe for a couple of weeks later this year if that matters (taking mba with)

Check on having it covered on an endorsement to your HO policy. That's what I did with my camera gear and the rates were very competitive.

23 charge cycles in 3 months, and i almost never use it when plugged in. it will take me 10 years to reach 1000 cycles at this rate, the point at which the battery should still have 80% of its charging ability left.

anybody here ever do business with powermax.com?

410 charge cycles after 4 plus years of nearly daily use. battery life seems not as good now, but still darn good for what i use it for. quite sturdy hardware. i've dropped it a couple of times from chest height, once onto concrete. has scratches and dents now, but no performance issues.

great laptop, but hasn't converted me to a mac guy
