Default FSA: Introduction to CFE EOM exercises Finally Released

Much better than the previous financial reporting module. More pactical and helpful for the CFE and SDM exams.

I take both modules.

If anyone wants to discuss the new intro to CFE module, let me know. I'm starting it today.

Studying for CFE SDM

I'm currently working on this. A couple of questions:
1. The module instructions reference "the case study" without mentioning what case study to use (there are multiple in the course slides). I want to assume it's the Spring 2019 SDM case study included in the course slides because the Intro to CFE case study has no information on Xolar or Skylite. Other thoughts?
2. What year are we supposed to assume it is? This is important for interpreting the pro forma financial statements, but all I can find is in the intro of the case study where it says it is October 2015. In that case, why is 2014 included in the pro forma?

Default Cash Flow Statements

Having serious difficulty getting the cash flow statements to line up.

Not 100% positive on the pension liability adjustment or if the "other" items in the assets and liabilities should be included in the cash flow statement.

Update:

Got it to work for Xolar but am still stuck on Skylite

2nd Update:

There's a mistake in the Skylite Statement of Cash Flow spreadsheet (tab "2B"). Cell T22 should be negative 9, not positive 9. Spent 2 hours trying to figure out what the heck was going on..

Email me if you have questions.. lferraguti@gmail.com

I can't even open the spring 2019 SDM case study so I've been using the fall 2019 one and made assumptions about Xolar and Skylite (except for what was provided in their Excel files). And based on the fall 2019 case study, it's 2018

Can I confirm that the case study that we should be referring to is this one:
https://www.soa.org/globalassets/ass...case-study.pdf

I am going to start on the EOM exercise next week and would like to make sure I am referencing to the correct case study. Thanks!
