Ditto (except I grew up in South Florida).

Felicidades Y2A por pasar tu examen.

Lamentablemente no hay muchos actuarios latinos en el foro pero mandame un PM para ponerte en contacto con algunos.

Hispanic? What do we mean by hispanic business, you want to network with actuaries who work on Argentine, Chilean, Uraguian, etc. lines of business? What about Puerto Rico?

Start by identifying companies that write this business and consulting firms that consult in the area.

Although they're not hispanic you may want to expand the list to Brazil as well.

I wish I could remeber the name of the consulting firm but I was talking to an actuary whose firm was doing alot of consulting in Chile.

Default Critical Mass is needed

I would like to add my support for the creation of an Hispanic Actuarial organization. After all, there are already a few such clubs/societies serving the Asian American communities. This is a good resource for networking and info sharing for them. As a former math teacher, I know that more and more young hispanics wish to become programmers, engineers and math teachers. Actuarial work would clearly represent another new path that many could consider. I am willing to put my hat in, and help organize either a club or similar organization for Hispanic actuaries...

click on user CP in the upper left.
goto edit signature.
type in what you want. There are tools there for colors, bolding and crossing things out.
save changes.

...and I also support an association of latin/hispanic actuaries.
