I've had a first run through the material. Originally was just reading through the detailed outlines but soon found out later in the reserving section that I didn't really know what was going on, so I switched to watching videos for the rest of the material.

Any tips on study techniques for this exam? Go heavy on flashcards? Get a broad and high level understanding of the material? Constantly re-read outlines? Do a massive number of numerical problems?
What's worked for me to go 3/3 on the FSA exams:
  1. Watch the TIA seminar videos
  2. Read through the detailed MATE outline
  3. Go back and rewatch all the TIA videos on 2x speed
  4. Spam flashcards and some practice problems. Take a full length practice exam as well.

The hardest thing for me was always how to gauge my progress because at the end of the day you're mostly reading through a bunch of lists. Doing the above however I felt well prepared for any question that got thrown my way on exam day. I didn't read any source material for any exam.
