Every trip to the grocery store I've had for the past month have been surprisingly close to normal. I mean, yeah, there was no TP. A few items, I purchased a different brand than I usually get, but that's no big deal. The only item I've wanted to buy but they didn't have was habeneros. But I probably shouldn't eat so much spicy food, with the TP shortage, and all.

South Korea with another day of fewer than 100 cases. Worst day they had since 3/11 (252 cases) was only 152 new cases, despite having testing capacity of roughly 20,000 a day. Their factories and hospitals must have excess capacity by now - hopefully some of the other countries can purchase from them.

More info coming out that subclinical (and therefore unreported) cases over 80%. More widespread, less severe. New York results getting better lead credence to the idea. We will know for sure in under a month, hopefully closer to 2 weeks.

And some info of people only having gastroenterological symptoms, suggesting a possible enema solution.

We ended up ordering some commercial folded paper towels and a dispenser on line since we were out. Now we've got about a 2 year supply... but they're nice and the dispenser looks nice too so we're okay with it.
This is the way to go IMO. We basically shifted some huge % of commercial paper supply use into the home and that market will not adjust very quickly because the products are so different. There will be extreme shortages in the home paper market and extreme surpluses in the commercial paper markets. Buying the commercial stuff for home use makes a lot of sense.

I just ordered Amazon brand TP and was surprised that it is scheduled to arrive next Wednesday. I don't know about the quality, but it will be better than nothing.

Why am I watching cnn? There is a plaintiff lawyer on here right now and the discussion is totally misrepresenting what business interruption coverage is.

CNN misrepresenting something? Incroyable!

An example of the side effects of hospitals being full of Covid-19 patients...
https://www.latimes.com/california/s...al-coronavirus
Quote:
Los Angeles County officials this week ordered paramedics to wait five minutes after reviving someone with cardiac arrest to see if their heart stops again before racing them to the hospital, a policy intended to reduce the number of high-risk patients flooding emergency rooms during the coronavirus pandemic.

The policy, which could apply to 911 patients with heart attacks and drug overdoses, as well as those with COVID-19, instructs first responders to wait and see whether a patient loses heart function again within five minutes after being revived. If so, paramedics will continue CPR in the field until a doctor tells them to stop because it is likely futile. CPR could continue for as long as 40 minutes, according to county officials.

Sadly, since that includes treating 'drug overdoses' in the directive, many will just and think that this should have always been the policy.
