I cannot imagine life without a cat. We've had many over the years. Always difficult to lose one.

I absolutely didn't want that for him. He was an awesome kitty and deserved for me to make that decision for him. So, after a few days at the kitty hospital, what he got was one last night at home doing whatever he wanted and fell asleep in my arms.
So Sorry. You did the right thing.

I posted my dog's pic on here before. It's been one year.

After nearly (and thinking) losing my dog, stories like this always make me incredibly sad

I still have one left. Had three, then two and down to one.

RIP to all our AO former pets.

I've had to take two dogs to be put down (stayed with them as the vet did the deed). I have two more dogs now; so I know I'll face doing this again. Sad days when I took them to the vet, even though I knew I was doing the right thing.

I think I told the story on here of the first one I had to have put down. Her name was Mandy, and afterwards, I came home from the vet, poured some bourbon and listened to the Barry Manilow song by that name. "And she came and she gave without taking, and I sent her away, oh Mandy."

A cat -- now that is sad. Get another one quickly.

Sorry for your loss!

Here is a pic of one of our cats we had to put down due to kidney complications about 9 months ago. Still look back at some of the old pictures of him every now and then.
