RIP Janet Becker. A lady at my church's mom whom I went to visit in a nursing home 2 times. She was dying of cancer. Super sweet lady who even while so sick she had to stay in a nursing home was making friends with other old lonely people there. Spent 2-1/2 hours with her my whole life and she made an impression on me.

Granny fan would have turned 98 today if she didn't die in 1989. happy birthday in heaven granny fan, or if you've already been reincarnated on a different birthday, happy former birthday!

RIP Jane Little

She held the record for the person with the longest tenure with an orchestra, having joined the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra as a bassist in 1945 at age 16. She died Sunday after collapsing on the stage at age 87. I imagine that's how she wanted to go out.
