I'll clear out the last PRF module I have to do in the mean time, and start studying over the summer for Fall 2019.

Even though they put a time limit on passing Advanced, you still have 4 sittings through Spring 2021 to get it done. I hate the idea that you could forfeit your Core credit, and it is a very sobering thought. However, I like the fact that in one sitting you can pass half of the exam (DP-A or FV-A), and need only to retake the other half in the future sittings. That'll be a nice change from the all-or-nothing approach to every other exam we've done.

Good luck everyone! Hopefully I don't see any of you in the Fall 2019 thread!
Makes sense in your situation. Good luck!

Joining the party late, but want to give it a try before they change the exam. Hopefully I can pass, really need a lot of luck on this one.

The case study is now available: https://www.soa.org/education/exam-r...ealth-adv.aspx

Didn't look at it in detail, but it looks like the same case study, probably just updated the years.

Can anyone say how many note cards MATE has? Curious because TIA has 265, which is a lot less than core (think core was ~425). The syllabus does seem to have a lot of overlap, which may contribute.

is anyone else struggling to understand the difference/overlap between ACOs and MIPS in the MSSP? I think the ACOs make sense on their own, but I am getting mixed up when trying to think about how MIPs works and how ACOs fit into that system.
