Default Family Emergency

Anyone know if there is a precedent for a family emergency right before or during the FAC? Our family has an unusual circumstance that means I could possibly either have to cancel my registration last minute or fly home early from the August FAC in Seattle. I am assuming I could cancel last minute and get refunded minus the $150 cancellation fee, but if I have to fly home during I assume I just technically fail and will go to the next one. Just wanted to confirm if that's the case.

My wife is pregnant with our first child due in September so I emailed asking what would happen if I had to leave early and this was the response they gave:

"There are zero exceptions to the 10 minute rule. In your case should you have to leave we would transfer your registration to another session (ie you wouldn’t need to pay again) however you would need to repeat the entire course. "

Might also want to clear this with your employer. The hotel and airline fees are not included in the cost of the FAC, so they'd be paying for that possibly twice. They might want you to wait until the second one, or else make you pay for the second one yourself.
