Default June 2019 Exam STAM Thread

May be a bit early for this, but I figure I should start a thread for the next sitting. Who else is in for June?

On another note, what's the consensus on study materials? How does CA manual compare to ASM?

I enjoyed the condensed format of CA for LTAM much better than the ASM manuals I've used in the past. My only concern is that it may be too simplified with the large variety of loosely related topics on this one.

I used CA for C and passed easily.

CA is the best actuarial resource for all exams.

I'll edit it for you. But for future reference, yes, with a convoluted process. The thread creator can move the thread to a different forum (like NAT or LTAM) then move it back. During either move, he can change the title.

Good to know. I used ASM for the first three, but the lengthy explanations and rigorous detail was starting to get exhausting, especially when trying to balance studying with work.

I found the LTAM CA manual perfectly concise. It was exactly as advertised covering only what you need to know for the exam, nothing more nothing less. Potentially problematic if you don't have prior exposure to the material, but personally, that's not an issue. I especially enjoyed how quick I was able to progress through the sections. It made it very easy to balance work/study/life.

Why is something that was hard for you automatically hard for everyone else?
