Smile Starting MS Fall 2013

Hi there - I am a new Husky starting the Actuarial Sci Masters program in Storrs in 20 days! Any others out there starting with me? Or do any alumni have any advice for this program?!

One specific question: I'm thinking about trying to get the program finished in a year (12 credits per semester) - is that too high of a goal if I also have not passed at least 2 exams yet either?

Thanks

Don't worry about how long the program will take you. You should focus on getting 2 exams ASAP because most of the hiring is done in the first semester. Also, a lot of companies will not offer internships to students graduating in the spring semester.

Ask your advisor, they know what successful students have done in the past.
