Default Hard to focus

Submitted IA 11/5
EOM 4 graded 11/20

Today is 12/2, one day short of four weeks from submission, and I am finding it hard to focus on EOM 7.

I suppose it would be bad form to curse Thanksgiving.

Submitted IA on 11/09
EOM 4 graded on 11/14

I am in the same boat with you. Can't these people just grade over the holidays? What makes them think that they deserve a day off, I need my grade.

For those who passed the IA, does it have that red font at the bottom saying that you met the minimum requirements like the EOM exercises do?

Or can you only tell that you passed via email?

Default Getting worried

OK, so now I'm a day past four weeks, and I'm really getting worried.

But it has only been two weeks since my EOM4 was graded, so maybe it's not so bad.

I thought there was nothing about the preliminary exams that I would miss. I now find that there are two things.
  1. Multiple choice
  2. Knowing what day to expect results, even if it takes two months

Did you subtract around 5 days for the Thanksgiving holiday? If you were a grader, would you be grading over Thanksgiving?

Relax and give it some more time.

I agree. I would trade the possibility of quicker results for a known deadline. It's frustrating when people who submitted at the same time or weeks after you, get results before you. It is also unsettling not knowing when you may receive results or trying to guess which grader you're on. I think they should just make it exactly 7 weeks for everyone. I do applaud the effort to quicken grading times, but I'm not sure the SOA realizes we are an impossible audience to please! Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

What I really think they should do is make it a standard 7 weeks and then take cash to get results earlier. Maybe $100 for each week you receive them earlier? There's a lot of cash out there to be had, and I'm surprised the SOA isn't raking it in! I'd be ready to part with some sweet cash to get my FA results right now!

If there's anything they understand after all their years of administering E&E, it's this.

No, it does tell you at the bottom that you passed.
