Maybe they can get a free flash drive, too.

And a plush soccer ball. They go for those things, right?

Default The new website looks good, but a lot of the old content is missing...

The new website of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, which is at the same location as the previous one, http://www.actuaries.org.uk, has a nice look and feel, but a lot of fairly recent material from the previous site is currently unobtainable, or at least hard to find. I've asked the following (after not getting a reply to a shorter question earlier in the week):

Quote:
The new website looks good visually, but a lot of information which was available either on the previous website or on associated sites seems either to be unavailable, or at least if it is available, is very hard to find on the new site. In particular, please could you let me know:
- where are Minutes of the previous Councils (Institute, Faculty and Joint)?
- why has the merger microsite been down for several days, with a message saying "Site off-line The Actuarial Profession is currently under maintenance. We should be back shortly. Thank you for your patience. "? Please will this site either be restored or new links to its content provided?

Stop confusing our friends from across the pond by making references to "soccer".

Default Some UK parlance

cincinattikid, apparition:

For us in the UK, football is what you Yanks call "soccer", and rugby is the game played with an oval ball and where you have to kick the ball over one horizontal bar between two goalposts.
