Question Do you have any ideas to make the exam forum more useful?

I was just wondering if you guys have any ideas that could make the exam section a little more helpful, like a sticky thread with important dates and forms, or perhaps a list of emoticon symbols that are commonly used, or some MimeTex cut-and-paste shortcuts, or whatever. This is what sparked my question.

So, is there anything that you can think of that would make things more useful, or perhaps easier to navigate? Let me know any of your idea, and I'll see which ones are possible.

The only thing I can think of is to somehow make it quick/easy to put in commonly used math/actuarial symbols when someone needs help on a problem...integrals, sums, 'a-bar', etc...

Not sure if that's possible though.

I've been pondering posting a list of common actuarial symbols in mimeTeX but haven't gotten around to it. I think it would be helpful for folks that don't want to spend a lot of time learning TeX but still want to get their questions/solutions across effectively in a discussion.

If there were a way to have a menu of common symbols to use while posting (similar to the smilies) that would be even better.

MimeTeX help stickied... also important dates such as registration, exam date, refund dates

I can't think of anything else right now.
How to explain actuarial exams to someone else...

Good Einstein quote - "One had to cram all this stuff into one's mind for the examinations, whether one liked it or not. This coercion had such a deterring effect on me that, after I had passed the final examination, I found the consideration of any scientific problems distasteful to me for an entire year."

Update the Prelim Exam section to reflect the changes to Exam 3? There should be three forums, correctly named. It can be confusing to people who are transitioning to that exam.

Make an easy way to search for questions relating to specific sitting...for example, if someone in the exam 4 forum has a question about may 2005 #6, make an easier way to search for that so that the same questions are not asked over and over again and new threads are not started all the time.

Maybe if the person who created the thread had the option to select from a dropdown box what sitting and what question or something that would make the thread easily categorizable.
I dont like to argue, just complain!

If you navigate down to a sub-forum like MFE or course C and then come back out to exams the second section label picks up a label of VEE. Maybe trivial, but I think it should be fixed.
