Actually I'll soften my position on the European's a bit, the EU court ruling also prohibited gender specific life insurance, but more importantly auto insurance rates. So it still forces a bunch of cross subsidization, but atleast it is consistent across all types of insurance.

You need to think bigger picture buddy.

If all costs are unisex, atleast there's a consistent principle.

If the principle is applied selectively to only force unisex costs where women would otherwise pay more, then that's unfair.

Different women subsidizing different men.

Again, there is market segmentation between life insurance purchasers and annuity purchasers.

But if the law applies to both annuities and life insurance, then there is no gender specific agenda.

If the principle is applied such that whenever women would have to pay more, unisex rates are mandated, and whenever men would have to pay more sex distinct rates are allowed, then it's discriminatory towards men.

Good point, it's so hard for men to be treated fairly in society.

It sounds like the regulations in Europe are applied more fairly. Maybe you should move there.

I'm glad you've realized your original view was flawed and that it's fine for men to pay more for insurance to right past injustices.
