Default Econometrics

I noticed on the SOA website that many other schools in my state have UG level econometrics counting towards VEE Applied Statistics. Mine only has Graduate level counting towards that though. Any chance they might accept that class, and if so how do I do it?

You have to see if you have the prerequisites or not. Usually the prerequisites will be micro & macro economics, linear algebra, and probability & statistics. If you do, then you could send an email to the department assistant and ask them to register you for the course. I signed up for a few classes myself this way.

I would go to your department and explain your situation. If you're a good student, they'll let you take the graduate class.

Also, it's been a while but what do most people do to fulfill the VEE if they didn't do it in school? Do they use some kind of 3rd party option? You can do that.

I'm curious as to whether the SOA would consider my UG Econometrics class for VEE Credit

You need to go to the SOA website and find the list of your university's courses which are pre-approved for VEE credit. If your course is not on the list (but you think it should be) you can apply to have it added.
