I don't know about higher than average, but LM's reputation is that it pays pretty well, especially for an insurance company. Due to the large number of actuaries who work there, I believe they are big driver in median salaries for actuaries.

Woah they're high.

Do P&C actuaries typically get paid in this range?

Shoot man I made a big mistake to get into Life.

Obviously it pays above avg. I mean even without actually looking at the numbers, you have nothing to gain by publicly posting salary range for positions, if you think you are below avg or at avg. Just from that you can deduce they pay above avg

liberty is known to pay high for national personal lines insurers. there are commercial lines mediumish shops that pay just as well as liberty if not more. but of the allstates, state farms, hartfords, etc liberty pays significantly higher.

I have yet to see a commercial lines shop pay more than Liberty or close to it actually.

Hmm well I got that info from this board and can’t verify for sure... but sompo’d is listings seem to include pay and I saw one of their actuarial analyst roles paying 70k a couple months ago.

I’ve heard arch pays 170 for fcas... seems close to liberty imo.
