Default 1st Exam in October: Should I start networking for summer intern now

Hi everyone! I'm a junior math major and just started to think about being an actuary after graduation this summer . I'm studying for my 1st SOA exam (exam FM) in October now. Wills Towers Watson will come to my university the for info session and mock interviews the week after next week. Should I sign up for the event? I know that I have to pass at least one exam to be taken seriously by the employers but it sounds like a very good opportunity to network with recruiters.

Hi. I don't understand how you're a junior now and you're graduating this summer.

I still can't figure out what the first line of OP is intending to say. You graduated this summer and you're a junior? Confusing.

Regardless, there's no downside really to meeting people, learning about the profession, etc. Is there?

So, 2019-2020 is your senior year? Then, you won't qualify for an internship next summer. You gotta aim for a full time job. Regardless, you should go meet them anyways.
