Default LTAM by ASM - Que. 29.1

the question asked to calculate the net future loss at issue for death at end of 20 years. Why does the solution discount the insurance portion using 20 years? I would think the discounting should be based of dimension 10? Since the insurance is deferred for 10 years?

You are calculating the loss at issue, so you discount the proceeds to time of issue.
