Fortnite and Rocket League. Both amazing. Other than that haven't played anything in quite a while. Most recently before that FIFA, Assassin's Creed and Madden. Though still bust out the old NES, SNES or N64 on occasion.

yeah I uninstalled Rocket League. my taste runs towards hard games in general but for some reason multiplayer challenge tilts me a lot more than singleplayer challenge.

This is what I like best about consoles. I know that if I buy a game for a console, it will work. The New 3DSís started throwing a wrench in that though...

I'm still the idiot that can't get his xbone controller hooked up correctly to play the occasional steam game. Some driver is messed up or something, not even sure.

I would say it differently for me. I wouldn't say it is the competition/grinding for ranks that I shy away from, but more so the increases outside of normal playing time that come with it. Such as:
- commitment to practicing specialized things (such as training modes in Rocket League for 30 min instead of playing ranked games)
- having more "forced" gaming time with a team for events/practices/scrimmages
- or more game review/study instead of playing.

Eventually this has diminishing returns for me and I'll find a new game to start the process over on and deep dive into strategy and resources for it with a fresh perspective. I gave Siege a run at this, but I found the map knowledge needed overwhelming and never got rolling with it.

I would say I'm around that point now with Rocket League in Champion 2 rank, where just playing more isn't necessarily going to help me get better. Sure, I've dumped a ton of hours into the game and practice various skills (dribble/flick), but the amount of practice and repetition needed to learn new skills (double touch shots, ceiling shots, aerial car control while upside down, tighter rotations by reviewing replays) in order to push into Champ 3 are increasing, and with it my desire to play regularly is decreasing.

Yakuza 0 is still great. I’m about to finish Chapter 10 (I think there are 16). It says I have played for 160 hours, but I know I left my PS4 on by accident a few times. I wonder how much I have actually played.
