Default JULY 2018 P/1 THREAD

Figured I'd get this thread going to get feedback from others on how you're preparing. I'm planning on using the ASM SOA Exam P Study Manual 2nd Edition and ADAPT. I'll also end up taking advantage of the free exams TIA offers.

You should be fine with that. Just try and understand the concepts. No cramming

There isn't a free ASM manual but you could look at the Finan manual.

I passed today.
I used ASM 16th edition. My scores on 20 practice tests are:
33.3/ 56.7/ 70.0/ 76.7/ 86.7/
66.7/ 76.7/ 83.3/ 53.3/ 76.7/
53.3/ 90.0/ 76.7/ 66.7/ 96.7/
63.3/ 80.0/ 73.3/ 60.0/ 60.0%

The actual test was A LOT easier than the ASM practice tests.

Thanks for the valuable insight. Did you by chance take TIA or ADAPT? If so, how did those compare?

Just passed exam p last week!! Ask me for any questions that you have. I used just the ACTEX manual for content and took the first 5 exams, did the 4 TIA exams and then I did adapt at level 7 for the week before the exam.
