Default [STRIKE]Christmas[/STRIKE] Holiday decorations

My daughter works in the local branch of a national bank. They just got instructions on how the branch can be decorated for the season.

Holiday trees are OK, and can be decorated in a non-religious way.

But, on the tree and elsewhere: no angels, no Santa Claus, no menorahs. Those make sense, and didn´t surprise them. But also: no snowmen. This district manager who delivered the instructions did not know why snowmen were a problem. They had been allowed in prior years.

Any ideas? (My wife hypothesized they might be sexist, but daughter and I don’t buy that, even though we have no better suggestion.)

Yes this isnt really commonly known, but scholarship as recently unearthed a potentially apocryphal, Gnostic fifth Gospel, the gospel of Shemp, in which the Christmas story involves a fourth wise man, who brought Jesus the gift of snow. It melted along the way in the hot middle Eastern climes, and the other three wise men laughed at him and call him mean names like "dumbass" and "the snow man." Kind of easy to see how he got written out of later drafts, if you think about it.

I'm surprised Santa isn't allowed. That feels pretty secular to me. Snowmen? No clue.

Our suspicion about that is Santa Claus = Saint Nicholas, religious. That reasoning not confirmed by the bank’s national office, nor have we inquired.
