Default December 2017

Thinking about sitting for this so I thought I would start a thread since we have 2015 and 2016 threads. Should be CFA by June 2019 right?

If you already have 4 years of investment experience or will have the experience by the time you finish the exams, the earliest you can get the designation is August 2019.

CFAI has some very specific rules about referencing participation in the CFA program. You'll see it in the ethics section in every level - and don't be surprised if it shows up as an exam Q!!!

Ethics is an important part of the investment industry, so I don't mind that. But having to memorize the history of GIPS...

If you decide to write LI in December, go to the more detailed explanations in section VII(B) in the Standards of Practice and you'll see that Chopin Lover and I aren't just being anal retentive actuaries.

I will be taking an FSA exam end of October/beginning of November, I'd like to try to bang out the studying for this one in a month and take the December sitting!

It's possible. I took an FSA exam last November and passed CFA I in December after studying ~3.5 weeks. Good luck.
