Depending on which link you use, the USHS record is either 44.69 or 45.25 - which is well under 50 seconds. Most state T&F meets have the boys 400 meter champion under 49 seconds.

My dog Suzi is an extremely intelligent Weimaraner age 12 years, 5 months (87 dog years). When I asked her if she thought FEM was a good idea, she growled and shook her head.
