SOA or AAA?

Edit to clarify: SOA's antitrust threats or AAA's blocking of the FSA-GI

For sure.

Can we see the January 10, 2014, letter?

Well, if no lawsuits are actually forthcoming, then at most it's just wasting the time of staff & board members. It sounds like it was a "shot across the bow" type of letter.

But if the SOA files suit, I want to see the basis of that suit. I assume such filings are public records.

This threatening the AAA garbage would never happen if Tom Bakos was SOA President.

Yes, but It's not just a matter of the President. The Board would have had to agree with this.

This is more of how nominations are made in general.

I wrote to SOA general counsel Rich Veys requesting a copy of the January 10 letter. Let's see how he responds. The SOA's knee-jerk reaction is to keep everything secret, but we'll see. Obviously, the AAA has a copy, too!

I just got an email from the AAA about this. I am embarrassed to be a member of the SOA and I wish they would get their heads on straight.

I'm not credentialed, and i haven't been keeping up with the FSA-GI. Did the AAA "block" the FSA-GI? My boss's recollection is that they declined to make a ruling on a request from the SOA, instead deferring to the NAIC.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.
